What is geotextile:
According to the production process, geotextile is divided into woven geotextile and non-woven geotextile. Non-woven geotextile is divided into polyester filament geotextile, staple fiber geotextile and polypropylene geotextile.

What is waterproof geotextile:
Waterproof geotextile fabric also called Geomembrane Composite is a general designation of geocomposite geomembrane, which is composed of geomembrane and geotextile, playing a waterproof role, while geotextile membrane is permeable.
Specification of waterproof geotextile:
Needle punched non-woven fabric and PE film composite geotextile, specifications include one cloth one film, two geotextile cloth one film, and three cloth two films, the maximum width of 6m, main raw material is to use polyester staple fiber needle punched non-woven fabric, PE film is made by composite.
So the two materials have different uses. Waterproof geotextile is mainly used for anti-seepage. It is suitable for railway, highway, tunnel, subway, airport and other projects.
Features of waterproof geotextile:
Nonwoven and spinning composite geotextile, the variety of nonwoven and polypropylene filament woven composite, nonwoven and plastic woven composite, suitable for foundation reinforcement, adjustment of permeability coefficient of infrastructure.
As the protective layer of geomembrane, geotextile can protect the impervious layer from damage. In order to reduce ultraviolet radiation and increase anti-aging performance, it is best to use embedding method.
The connection between the composite geomembrane and the surrounding structures shall be anchored by expansion bolts and steel plates, and the connection part shall be coated with emulsified asphalt (2mm thick) for bonding to prevent leakage.
Waterproof geotextile and geotextile should be reasonably selected according to different specifications and use environment, one is permeable reinforcement, the other is anti leakage.
Difference between composite waterproof geotextile membrane and geotextile
GTM Geotextile is a kind of material made of non-woven fabric, which is also one of the components of composite watreproof geotextile . Through the addition of geotextile, the reinforcement level of membrane material can be further improved, and the efficiency of construction process can be naturally improved.
In general engineering, the requirements for composite waterproof geotextile are very high. All materials stacking sites must be located at the higher terrain to prevent surface water erosion. It is not only required that the material can have higher anti-seepage performance.

The composite watreproof geotextile is composed of polyethylene geomembrane as the impervious body and short fiber needle punched geotextile with excellent performance of isolation drainage and waterproof by hot pressing.
